Overview

Project supported in 2015 in our giving back program

The Ottawa Tool Library is a non-profit tool-lending library in the heart of Ottawa – providing tools, expertise and a workspace for projects. They are located at 877A Boyd Avenue (entrance off Dobbie Street). They are accessible by public transit and have parking at the front of the building. They have a dedicated WorkSpace at OTL where you can work on your personal projects.

They also host events like Repair Cafés; Demo Nights on leather working, bike repair, canning or zero-waste living; and workshops for all ages to introduce topics including plumbing, sewing, and drywall repair.

What We Have Created

Frederic Sune, co-founder and CEO of WP Expert co-founded the Ottawa Tool Library with Bettina Vollmerhausen in 2014. We designed the initial website in 2015 for the opening. We used WordPress as an easy content management system to update the site but also offered integration with My Turn which managed the inventory.
