There is a lot of competition out there; 43% of B2B marketers say blogging is their most important type of content. The question is: how can you organically grow blog traffic and stand out from the rest? It’s not as hard as it sounds, but it will require your commitment.
Let’s begin with, what is organic traffic?
Organic traffic is when you naturally obtain the attention from your audience. Put time and care into creating your blogs and execution, and you’ll see a difference.
Follow our four steps and you’ll be on your way.
You’ll want your readers to want to click on your blog by using catchy headlines. Intrigue them to find out more before they’ve gotten an understanding of what your blog is about.
Use the following to write a memorable title:
Once they have clicked the blog, they still might not read it through thoroughly. 43% of people admit to skimming blog posts due to their short attention spans. Therefore, keep your blog between 700-1000 words. Now that they are reading, you want to keep their attention! Create quality content to organically obtain traffic to your blog. Tip: Another way to keep readers engaged and interested, is to use statistics and lists. Studies show that blog posts with statistics improves consumer trust, and lists are the best format for reading engagement.
The only reason why you should be posting blogs is to inform your readers on what they are interested in. To empathize with your audience, you’ll want to understand their needs and what problems they encounter. From this you can create good content that your readers are wanting. Find the problems that they got, so that you can provide them with a solution.
Ways to empathize with your audience:
You’ve probably heard this a million of times, keywords are vital for search-engine-optimization. But, don’t just use the most popular keywords, use the ones that are specific to your product or service that have a low search volume.
Why should you care about long-tail keywords?
By using them search engines will be able to identify your blog as a destination for your subject. Focus on your niche topic to stand out from the others while simultaneously targeting your users and increasing organic traffic. Once you have chosen a keyword, you want to add it to post title, subheading, and in the blog itself.
Make use of your social media platforms and promote your content. Post about your new blog on your own socials, but the best way to advertise is to have influencers share it on their pages. When other people recommend your blog, it’s more likely for people to engage as they trust the content. Make sure your content is shareable by adding share buttons to your site. Social media shouldn’t just be used to share your content, it is an opportunity to connect and engage with your audience. Once you begin engaging with your readers, you’ll foster a stronger community around your blog. This will make them come back for more of your content as they will have a memorable experience. It might be time consuming, but it will be worth it to grow your blog organically.
There are plenty of other ways to increase your reachability, but we chose our top four tips that you can easily integrate!
They are very common mistakes, but they also can be avoided and fixed. We’ve compiled the top six social media marketing mistakes:
The profile page is the first thing that potential followers see, therefore it is vital to have it be presentable. It needs to have the necessary information on it such as: profile photo, cover photo, website link, and a short and understandable bio. Seize the opportunity to enhance your brand identity and make the profile photo cohesive with the cover photo. Furthermore, make sure the tone of voice you use in your bio is appropriate with your business. For example, if you are targeting youth, you will want to use jargon that they relate to. All these essentials should be on the first page and be easy to comprehend.
Be aware that each platform is different. This is a common social media marketing mistake because many people think that they should post the same content on all their platforms. Unfortunately, it's not that easy.
Don’t treat all social media platforms the same as they are not:
Simply said, if you don’t have anything important to say, don’t say it. Don’t feel forced to post as it just comes across as fake and your engagement rates won’t be high. They don’t create any engagement, traffic, or likes because your audience won’t find it relevant. There’s a mass of content being produced right now, and people are able to identify the fakes like a needle in a haystack. Check out our article, How Quality Content Can Help You Lead the Battle to enhance your content quality!
If you don’t feel inspired to share something, accept it, and don’t share anything. You don’t have to post constantly to keep your followers happy. Whenever you post low quality content, your engagement rates will decrease. If users are not engaging with your content, Instagram will stop showing your posts in your follower’s feeds. To avoid this, you’ll want to create a content calendar ahead of time. Schedule a diverse set of content that varies between internal, external, inspirational, promotional, and behind-the-scenes content. Want to know more about the categories of quality content? The thing with social media trends is that they are always evolving, therefore you always need to evolve too. If you find that your content strategy is not going well, and you haven’t received the response that you had hoped – mend it! Don’t be afraid to try new things and step out of the box with your creativity. Use the content marketing cycle to follow an evolving path to successful social media marketing! It’s as easy as testing and readjusting.
You will scare away your followers and potential buyers if you are constantly posting about your own services and/or products. Create a relationship with your followers and gain their trust. This can be achieved by being transparent and showing who you are as a brand. This builds connection as it is valuable content that they identify and relate with.
We all despise being left unread. Everyone hates it when they don’t get a response from their favourite brand. We, as consumers, want to be heard and feel important. Reinforce your relationship with your fans and interact with them! Make them feel special by liking and replying to their comments. Most importantly, don’t ignore negative feedback, and instead make your followers feel like you are genuinely interested in them.
There you have it: the top six social media marketing mistakes that one can make! Are you making these social media marketing mistakes too? Don’t worry, it’s not too late to revive your social media accounts and presence.
The cycle describes the entire marketing cycle. It’s useful to use it as a guide to ensure your content marketing is a success. There can be a lot involved with marketing and easily get overwhelming. The cycle can help you structure and give reassurance to your content creation, especially if you are an entrepreneur and have little to no background in marketing.I’m going to take you through each step of the Content Marketing Cycle, and you can activate it into your own marketing.
Content marketing is the backbone of SEO. Saying that, it is vital to create a content marketing plan to have a very strong presence. It is becoming more evident by entrepreneurs that it’s important to dedicate time to have a solid content marketing plan. Research shows that 70% of B2B marketers are creating more content than they did a year ago! Even though it takes dedication, innovation, and perseverance to have a successful content marketing plan, it is worth all the work.
The foundation of any successful strategy is setting your goals. Before you begin, write down what you want to achieve from creating a content marketing plan. Perhaps it is to build awareness, increase retention rates, or generate more leads. Make sure you have set your priorities and have established reasonable organizational goals.
After setting goals, know who your audience is and get to know them. Personas are used to facilitate effective content creation.
To get these answers, you need to conduct research. Use social media to see what’s happening on other accounts, especially your competitors. You are most likely targeting the same demographic and therefore you need to create content that will set you apart from the others so that the customers will go to you. By conducting research, you will be able to stay up to date with trends and can evolve with time. Identify ways to develop better content to be unique by creating outstanding personas. This tip, out of all the other content marketing tips, is very vital as it is used as a base to have a successful presence online.
It’s time to start creating content!
Will you be the one who will generate it? Or will you make room in your budget to hire someone?
If you are deciding to hire someone, you will want to figure out what else you will be spending your money on. Dedicate time to come to a conclusion on how much and where you will use the money. For example, lots of businesses have found it valuable to pay for promotion (ex: Facebook, Google, YouTube, etc.). When creating the content, remember to incorporate your brands voice and keep it consistent within all of your platforms.
Don’t forget to craft a distribution plan for viewers to access the information. Will it go out via newsletters? Blogs? Social Media? Or any other platforms? Do some research to find out where your demographic is spending their valuable time.
A part of standing out and having a great content marketing strategy is content consistency and quality. I see many businesses who aren’t putting in 101% into their content strategy and it’s very visible by their low numbers. Creating content that comes out periodically and is valuable for viewers will get a good response.
By trial and error and simple research, figure out what times and dates work best for your demographic. Perhaps they are Moms with young children and are often up at night, or government workers who often go on their smartphones when commuting. Schedule your content to go out at a time when viewers are most likely to interact with.
You will want to keep track of how your content marketing strategy is going and if it’s working as you had hoped. Track your progress by collecting data and analysing it throughout the initiation period.
Things to track:
Record all of it down and adjust whenever needed. You may start to see some patterns and come to the conclusion to follow or stick with one topic rather another or an array of topics. Visual learner or not, it’s advisable to create graphs and pie charts to see the data. Visual representations can be great motivators to get to a perfect result of 100 percent.

If you’re new to SEO, you’re in the right place. There are many different layers of SEO, but I'll start with the basics. This SEO 101 guide is perfect for anybody who has no background in this whatsoever as it consists of jargon that is understandable.
What is SEO and is it worth it?
Can you do it yourself?
What things affect your ranking?
How and where to begin optimizing so that your website can rank well
Search Engine Optimization, or SEO, is the process of enhancing a website’s visibility in search engines like Google, Bing, etc., – specifically in the organic (unpaid) area of search results. Search engines are looking for specific criteria and will put your site higher up only if you meet and exceed them. By focusing on optimizing a site, you can get a very positive response and get more free traffic. SEO has many aspects to it, from the content on your webpage to the way other sites link to you on the internet. The overall goal is to make your site better for people to use.
Check out this quick 3 minute video on “How Search Work” created by Google:
Web traffic is mostly directed by the dominant commercial search engines: Google, Bing, and Yahoo!. Social media is a very prominent way to generate traffic to your website, and I will go further into that later, but search engines are the primary method of navigation for Internet users.
There are so many websites out there and to be seen by Internet users, you need to follow this SEO 101 guide and commit. SEO is the process of ensuring your site is structured in a way that search engines understand. This way your site is more likely to show up amongst top search engine results when someone searches for a keyword. It can take years for you to perfect your SEO and rank among the highest sites, but it is rewarding when you have finally reached your goal.
There’s no reason that you can’t do it yourself and succeed! If you are considering doing it all of your own SEO, two thumbs up for you! ??
But before you begin, answer these questions:
—Do you have the time?
—Do you know enough?
As an entrepreneur you probably already have a never ending list of tasks to be completed. Consider what your priorities are and figure out what works best for you. You may end up deciding that it is time efficient and worth financially to have an expert handle things for you.
There are two things that can impact your ranking:
On-site (things happening on your webpage)
Quality of content on your site
Word choice and keywords
How fast it loads
User experience and functionality
Use and number of links
Off-site (things away from your site)
They provide an indirect but measurable benefit to a site’s external popularity, which the engines can then interpret as a signal of higher quality.
Things occuring that impact your rank
Do others link to your site?
Business ranking, other than website
Easy to use, navigate, and understand
Provide direct, actionable information relevant to the question
Professionally designed and accessible to modern browsers
Deliver high quality, legitimate, credible content
Search engines look at keywords, links, and site structure. It takes care and nurturing to craft a friendly user experience that establishes a good experience for your website visitors. The goal is to attract the guests to share your site, return, bookmark, and link from their social sharings to your site. Appealing, useful content is crucial to SEO. Search engines place web pages in their results in order to satisfy that intent in the best possible way.
By now you should know who your target market is and what they are looking for. You want to choose a keyword that effectively reaches and keeps users.
— What are your target customers looking for?
— What keyword has low volume and very easy competition?
Once you know your goals, the next step is finding the perfect keyword. You want a good balance between "head" and "long-tail" keywords. Head keywords consist of one to three words, whereas long-tail can be conversational phrases. Head keywords are better for longterm and have higher traffic, but also higher competition. Long-tail keywords have a higher short term sucess rate and have lower traffic, but lower competition. It's good to have a variation of both to get the best result. Make sure to research which keywords and phrases are most popular for your industry before continuing on.
When it comes to content strategy and optimization, this means having content that is highly geared towards what your audience searches for most often, and then ensuring that that content is technically well-optimized.
At least two or three times, including variations, in the body copy on the page
At least once in the alt attribute of an image on the page. This not only helps with web search, but also image search
Once in the URL
At least once in the meta description tag. The meta description becomes the text used by search engines and therefore helps attract clicks by searchers reading the results page
Social channels are strong and effective tools to use to promote your business. Content sharing through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc) allow you to reach potential customers through different avenues. Search engines treat socially shared links differently than other types of links - but they still notice them. Social sharing is There is no denying the rising importance of social channels.
As I said at the beginning, SEO has multiple layers and is constantly evolving. I hope this SEO 101 guide is a good starter point and helped you learn and understand the basics. Don’t be overwhelmed by all the information you have probably read on the internet. A successful SEO is attainable but it is a long-term strategy and can take months before you start seeing results. Ready to supercharge your website and create an unforgettable your brand?
The #1 Easiest Hack That Can 10x Your Conversions Is……
State your value proposition clearly and cohesively across all pages of your website.
If you’ve been in business awhile, chances are you’ve already stated your VP. If your business is brand new, you might not be familiar with what a VP even is. Whichever category you fall under, this will help you get clearer.
In a nutshell, a value proposition is a statement that explains how your product solves customers’ problems, delivers specific benefits, and tells your ideal customer why they should buy from you instead of your competition. Your VP can be 5 words or 1 long sentence - length doesn’t matter as much as the importance of making sure it’s clear and cohesive across all pages of your website. To do that, you need a functionable website + a smart copywriter (both of which we can help you with).
Bonus Tip #1: A value proposition is something a real human should be able to understand. It should come across as personable, not corporate.
Bonus Tip #2: The most important placement of your VP is your website homepage. Your visitors should be able to figure out what your VP is in the first 10 seconds of visiting your site. If it takes any longer, they’ll move onto your competition.
Defining your winning value proposition is only half the puzzle. The second part is making sure your web design ensures your VP is highly visible.
Basically, your VP won’t matter if your web design isn’t user-friendly and easy on the eyes.
To your online success,
