Clone your hard drive

by | free, misc

Nothing to do with WordPress but if I like me and you also have a business in the IT field (http://itinmind.ca), time to time you are facing issues where you need to clone an hard drive (HD).

I found Reflect from Macrium, a free software for Windows, which you can use to create a rescue media and clone your HD. You can download it here: http://www.macrium.com/reflectfree.aspx

This is an amazing tool and the best part: it’s free! You must add it in your IT tools kit.

I also found this excellent article on How-to-Geek website (http://howtogeek.com)with full detail on how to clone your hard drive and rescue it: http://www.howtogeek.com/199068/how-to-upgrade-your-existing-hard-drive-in-under-an-hour/.

I created a PDF version in case this article disappear from the internet: download it here.

I tried and succeed with no issues at all. I didn’t have to use the rescue media but everything was easy to follow and execute.
